Landlords can access grant funding for Energy Saving measures that improve your properties EPC rating and reduce your tenant’s energy bills.

Working with council-approved partners such as Evolve, SCIS, Dyson and Zing Energy, HelpinU can access funding so that landlords can undertake a series of improvements to ensure they boost their EPC rating. Available measures range from insulation installation (Cavity Wall, loft, internal, underfloor, room in a roof) upgrading heating systems and replacement boilers (subject to qualification).

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme

Under ECO, there is an obligation for energy companies (British Gas, E-On, Scottish Power, SSE, EDF and Npower) to provide funding for energy efficiency improvements to eligible households. Originally this was targeted at households that received specific benefits.

ECO Flex funding

ECO 3 Flex funding expanded the number of households that qualified for funding and allows individual local authorities to declare additional criteria for ECO funding eligibility, meaning that more households can receive support than in previous schemes.

Each local authority sets their own qualification criteria in order for landlords and tenants to access grants to ensure they improve the energy efficiency of their properties.
